Aerospace Electrification

I joined Denis Ferranti Group in January of 2020 for my university industrial placement that took place throughout my second semester of fourth year. As an Undergraduate Aerospace Design Engineer I worked alongside the design team on the development of novel electric propulsion systems for various aerospace industry OEMs.

I was involved in the full life cycle of different projects related to electric propulsion systems, including: requirement capturing, test procedures, and physical testing. As part of these projects, my main acomplishments were the development of the company's first Validation and Verification (V&V) plan and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) plan. These plans were written in accordance with aerospace and automotive industry standards, along with any project specific requirements.
